The newspapers this weekend have been choc full of London Restaurant Festival coverage and everyone on the team here is thrilled and grateful.
Yesterday we had a full page piece on our Gourmet Odysseys in the The Daily Telegraph written by Xanthe Clay – who has also now agreed to host one of the itineraries next Saturday.
Then we had Carolyn Hart writing about the festival in her popular food pages in the Telegraph Magazine, Nick Lander in the FT on Simon Schama’s Lecture at King’s Place and Bamber Gascoigne hosting our Starter For Ten quiz with top name Critics vs Chefs.
The Guardian also ran a piece on the London Restaurant Festival as did The Sun.
The Week magazine did a wonderful half page piece all about the festival and so did the British Airways High Life magazine.
Sir Harold Evans failed to mention it on the newspaper review on Andrew Marr’s show this morning – likewise David Cameron – we’ll have to get them briefed.
In the Sundays we have a piece in the Observer Food Monthly and also Stella, The Sunday Telegraph magazine. There are others.
Fay will be joining Tom Parker Bowles on his first LBC food show this afternoon alongside Marco Pierre-White.
So, all in all, a stellar weekend of support for the London Restaurant festival.
Thanks to all those journalists who are getting on board.
